Gridlock Garden

Gridlock Garden takes the tile-matching idea everyone knows and wraps it in something calm and green. You clear rows to grow plants, and each cleared bed unlocks new species with their own little rules. It's the kind of puzzle you can play with your brain half-off or fully engaged, depending on the mood.

The clever part is how the difficulty sneaks up. Early boards feel like a warm-up, then suddenly you're staring at a layout for a full minute, planning three moves ahead. There's no timer breathing down your neck, which I appreciated enormously.

It's generous, too — no energy meters forcing you to stop. You play as long as you want. As a wind-down game before sleep, it's become a regular for me, and the garden slowly filling up gives you just enough of a reason to keep going.
